Hi everyone!

Hola Sacramento!

It has been a while since I promised my lovely lady of Mis Papelicos to show her my sketches. But I have been juggling between vacation mode and deadlines... I am happy that I could post it today...Finally :)

so there are stretch printed satin, stretch lace, satin bow and other 20 items of materials to make our tiny bra and string. I put them together nicely here because I try to convince you that I am an organized girl but normally each one has its own place on/under my busy desk/drawer/boxes...

These are my favorite pencils and I use them everyday. No matter what I draw, it all comes up in a big messy bunch of colours and I looooove it. However, to make things clearer and faster for everyone else, I use Adobe Illustrator hihihih

Hello lovelies!!!!

Are you all enjoying your holidays? Before I am off for a few days at the beach, I'd love to share with you the vintage gift I got under my tree :) Can you guess which one is it?

You're right! It is the vintage red Louis Vuitton bag that I got from my mother-in-law. I was thrilled when I opened the package ^_^

In this look, I was wearing Zara Ikat printed cotton pants, Pima cotton tank top, Via Delle Perle gold dust jacket, Zara open toes platform, Lafont glasses, YSL Rouge Sublime No.1 lipstick (just to match with the bag :))

These were some snapshots in front of my office. It got much warmer so I opted for a lighter Zara cardigan, paired with my forever Prada bag and a silver necklace.

I couldn't resist the yellow car, was so nice posing next to it in my blue tones hihihi

After digging my messy make-up box, I found a sample Shiseido lipstick called Perfect Red which has the same shade as in the Ikat print. Bingo!!!

(They have the same colour but make from different materials and are in textures so they don't reflect light in the same way, which make them look slightly different in this photo)

Oh, and I also found the perfect nail wrap for this look. I couldn't believe that there's a nail set exists in the same pattern and colour scheme of the Ikat printed pants. Amazing!!!
What a lucky day!!!

Last but not least, I would like to thank you all for leaving me kind comments and sharing your thoughts on my blog. After 6 years going unnoticed in the vast blogosphere, I finally got some valuable new friends. I am so happy!!!

A cup of tea

Hello everyone! How are you doing?

I woke up this morning and felt very lazy. So I recalled my perfect morning which looked like this:

To me, discover a new kind of tea is much better than own a Prada bag. Because the pleasure is foreeeveerrrr :)) And early December, I found a very nice tea shop in Singapore called TWG!

If you're interested in tea as much as I am, you may want to take a look at this tea production video from Ronnefeldt. Their Camomile is a killer!

And most important, Golden rules to make yourself a nice cup of tea. I love Buddha Bleu from Mariage Frères and I follow their rules. Last but not least, serve your perfect drink in a fine porcelain tea service. I hope this Cheval d'Orient set of tea cup and saucer from Hèrmes will be under my tree this Christmas ^_^

I wonder if my recent preference of home decoration to clothing is a sign of maturity :)))

Good evening lovelies!!!

How are you doing? The weather in Bangkok is really cool today and I 've got a chance to sport my leather skirt. Yeah! It has always been nice this time of the year and I pull out all my leather stuff and animal prints :D

I was not in office today (Yeah!) Instead, I was attending a seminar on Update Korean Fashion Industry and Stylesight.com open house. It was very interesting (I politely said it)

In a nutshell, people shop more and more online and youngsters prefer to dress like they're going hiking or skiing while shopping or schooling (think Eskimos in Bangkok)

But, I would be very selfish if I keep this blog to myself. You don't have to be a subscriber to be updated on trends and important news in fashion industry.

the seminar was held in The Style by Toyota building, where I found this gorgeous guy. The crush of the year it was!

Anyway, I was wearing Zara leather skirt, polka dots (but look like snake skin) silk top and scarf.

Prada shoes and bag, Lafont glasses and YSL Sublime Rouge No.1 nail polish (also, I swear to you all that I wore a skin tone lacey bra but it turned out rather white in photos *shame*)

Good evening everyone!

Hope you are all doing great!

Luckily the thing called weather forecast exists so I can imagine that you girls/guys are snugged in your best coats. I shrink in cold weather but sometimes I do miss it for the sake of playing dress up with layers and layers. To me, nothing is more stylish and functional than a trench coat. It is a staple of outerwear. And things that stand the test of time must be of very best design and quality. I have never got a chance to wear a real waterproof, double-breasted, knee-length, broad belt with wrist straps, oil silk interlining and removable woolen inner lining coat just like British soldiers in World War I did but I tried to get the feeling by sporting a cotton one (though I was not hiding in trenches).

I can see that you love a bit of history in my previous post. I really appreciate it. So in this vast blogosphere full of inspirations from magazines and street styles, I am not the only one who is interested in how our wardrobes turned out the way they are now.

Now, I take it inside out by sharing with you this bustier with beautiful embroidery that I am in love with.

Most women think a bustier is a fancy piece of lingerie, it actually is. And since it is fancy, it is absolutely acceptable if we wear it as outer wear. I have never tried going out the way I was in these photos though :))

As its name suggests, a bustier is used to enhance your bust by slightly tightening your abdominal part. And a corset? Well, it purposely gives you a pint-sized waist by taking your breath away :)))

Hello smart people!

I must confess that I am not good at math (is it a privilege reserved for designers? :)). So bad that I have to wear it hopefully it will get into my mind. I guess Issey Miyaké is not an exception, that is why he created this Number 3 with geometric shapes and formulas on it :)))

If you're pleat addict like the woman you saw in this post, I am sure you already know that Issey Miyaké is not the first designer who made pleats. Things happened at the beginning of 20th century, when Spanish-born couturier Mariano Fortuny patented a method of pleating silk that enable him to produce flowing, romantic gowns (in my version: he asked his experienced dressmaker wife to hand pleat the dresses). If you're interested, Google his name. He is the multi-talented son, not to confuse with his father who shared the same name.

Back to what I wear, they're all in polyester and the process of making them includes putting a 3 times bigger than the real size products into a heat press. The result of this genius idea is the clothes that move with your body. On top of everything, I love them because they don't take up much space in your wardrobe, they don't need to be dry cleaned and they love you as long as you love them. They're made to be colorfully timeless.

Tiny tips: vertical and horizontal pleats are much sturdier than zig-zag ones. I share this to prevent you from sitting the whole dinner in your brand new zig-zag Issey Miyaké dress and saying good bye to the dress after that, just like I did. Remember, they're made by heat and its the heat that kill them. So please don't give heat to pleats!

The Delphos Pleated Dress (1909) and The Pleats Please Dress (1993) are 2 of the 50 dresses that changed the way we dress dress dress dress dress.

However, I don't have that much red clothes in my wardrobe because I live in Thailand and it is not convenient to sport my favourite colour all year round. skin care for lazy girls

Good evening lovely people!

If you are reading this and you're not a lazy person, I suppose you're a busy one. That 's acceptable too! So, let's get started!

I'll share here my routines but not products' names because I don't promote free for any company ^_^
There's no secrets:
First, I am a lucky girl, good skin is in my genes.
Second, when I was a teenager, I washed my face 4 times a day with WATER!!!! Yes, no chemical! Bio, eco-friendly and cheap too!!!!
Third, I never go to bed with make-up on.
Fourth, I go out with sunblock.
Fifth, I go to bed with moisturizer.
Sixth, my everyday make-up kit: lipstick, blush.
Last but not least, I sleep from 10pm to 7am almost every night.

Expensive products don't necessarily mean best result. I normally go for more clinical brands than cosmetics ones. I pick fragrance-free or very mild scent so I can still feel my perfume. I hate when people walk into a lift smelling like a chemical plant.

I have been religiously doing the above simple steps for the past 10 years, I'll see if it is a good method in the next 10 years. So keep in touch!

Good morning lovelies!!!

How are you? I had a sleepy weekend but everything was great, so you won't hear me complain, don't worry :) And I am so excited to share this post with you all after a million years of no-post. Victoria from Style Marmalade said that I should show my designs here. Well, I had some photos taken but I don't have enough courage to post on my blog, they'll be forever in my hard drive (you know why). However, I am ready show you a lingerie photo like this:

I bought this gorgeous mesh dress from Huy Vo early this year in Hochiminh city, Vietnam but I didn't have a good occasion to wear it until now.

Underneath was Lise Charmel bustier with removable garters and a high waist brief (yes, the brief is my design and yes, garter-belt and high waist brief are coming back, you don't need to be a granny to wear them!)

Not so easy to play with layers in such hot weather but it is good to have just a mesh dress underneath and a ruched Pinko dress on top.

But from anything, such as this inspiring book I read recently. I was impressed by all the shapes and details. The imagination of people in previous era was respectable. In this book by Anne Richter (Thames&Hudson), there are exquisite pieces that belonged to Royal families and ancient cultures and yet those featured in this post are quite contemporary.

Linkin' Park concert

Hi everyone!

Just want to share some fun I had lately :)

my one and only pair of sneakers

It was raining and we danced in the rain for 3 hours!

I love these embroidery skulls, they run all the way from the waist band down ^o^

after the show, we were all tired so we sat near a construction site!!! Glamourous :))

Yah, I know I looked quite covered-up hihihi I had never been to a concert in Thailand, I was not sure it would be indoors or outdoors (Now confirmed: outdoors and rain) I didn't want to be bitten by mosquitoes; most important, I didn't want to catch a cold and give it to my little one when I hug him. I brought a small bag with a decent zipper so I wouldn't get my pocket picked in the crowd and my home keys wouldn't fall out when I jump up and down. I came home intact and happy ^_^

It's true that being a mother changes the way you look :))

By the way, I was wearing DS Cool Pima cotton tank top, Yessica T-shirt, Wonder Anatomie leggings with embroidery skulls, Salvatore Ferragamo for Yohji Yamamoto sneakers, Café leopard scarf, thrift golden satin head band, Lafont glasses and DIY sling bag!

The fish was perfectly cooked but I prefer its sauce even more. It takes very long time to make this sauce because the tucupi needs to be boiled for hours to eliminate its poison. It tastes a bit sour, sweet and fresh, something I have never known before in one dish.

The concept of this dessert is that it is made from ingredients that we normally do not like or are not allowed to taste when we were kids.

As a matter of fact, I found it extremely delicious. Forbidden food always tastes good!!!

We had a good time, chef Alex is a cheerful person, so is his cuisine. He used lots of Brazilian ingredients and it was so amusing, so relaxed and such a pleasure to enjoy his creation. It is not only a revelation for your taste but a feast for your eyes as well.

Good afternoon my friends,

How are you doing? Have the trees turned yellow over there? It is still rainy season here. The kind of rain that spoils your suede shoes and wet your best silk dress...

Today is sample sales day in our company. Everyone loves sample sales, me too! But not my samples. I have kept all my samples for years until they nearly drowned me. I just can't get rid of them. They are evidence of creation process. Samples are not by-products, sometimes they're just too beautiful, thus, too expensive to be bought...Anyway, they're now on sales at the Fashion Fair in Bangkok. I should get over this feeling now and show you what I started my "fall" season with.

Good afternoon beautiful world!

I guess you're enjoying your weekend. So do I! I have friends coming over to my new home and I have these photos to share with you after one no-post week. Everything is brand new: the dress, the bag, the shoes and the background ^_^

Moreover, my usual mumbling photographer has taken the below photos with a smile. I can't be happier hihihi

wearing Guess dress, Prada clutch, Christian Louboutin shoes (you can see them in details here), Shiseido lipstick. My hair without wax looks like this, I have been growing it since my pixie cut.

Recently I was quite disappointed by the quality of Zara and Prada products so I try to find other brands to replace them.

This crisscross black dress from Guess is quite comfortable, wrinkle-free because it is knitwear. I can eat and breath, let my little son sit on my lap, pull my dress without much worries.

Oh and for Prada! This should be my last bag from Prada. When I spent a month salary for a bag, I didn't expect its handles to be broken within 1 month and the zipper to be rusty with 2 weeks of storage, not even been used.

My husband said that everything can be perished in my hands. I thought I was gentle hahahha

By the way, tomorrow is Mid Autumn Festival. Happy holiday to all! Eat lots of moon cakes and light more lanterns! (Don't buy electric ones, buy the ones with candles please)

Also, tomorrow I 'll be living in Thailand for 2 years and it has been just great.

Good afternoon beautiful people!

It is a sunny day over here, I swam 500m this morning so my day has started to shine just like this gold skirt ^_^

I am going to move out of this condominium, so I try to take more photos here. Its such a green place!

I was wearing Zara top and skirt, YSL sandals, Prada bag, thrift necklace, Lafont glasses, BVL watch.

and lipstick was a mix of Pierre Cardin orange+Shiseido red+MAC gloss. YSL red nail polish.

Tomorrow I'll have the keys of our new place, I am so excited!!! I'll have more shelves for my shoes and a walk-in closet ^_^

Good evening friends!

Hola Mis Papelicos!

It's Saturday, time for shopping...for diapers and food to be precise :) But I put on my new MET jeans and debuted my Prada bag, anyway. Yohhooo!!!

oh, actually I did buy a dozen of headbands and a Chanel lipstick-Romance 55. Its a very sweet pink and I feel girly wearing it ^_^

MET jeans are quite kinky but I finally brought one pair home and debuted it with a black boyshort underneath, you can wear a string to live the brand spirit if you wish. I may try next time ;)

Remember this cute Mr. Bear with hearts printed all over? He is now has a new home because my other red Prada bag has been sent to Hongkong to be repaired. Hopefully I'll have it back before Christmas. Sadly, nowadays quality and price are not as relevant as expected.

I was wearing a thrift headband in satin gold, Lafont glasses, Zara blouse, MET jeans, Zara flat pumps and Prada bag. The bracelet I have on my left wrist is permanent. My mother gave it to me when I was a kid as a tradition, to keep me healthy. For nearly 20 years, I have outgrown it, luckily:)) and it has become a part of me.

Good evening everyone!

Before I am going crazy with all the sketches I have to do by Adobe Illustrator, I remember the beautiful images I saw in the book "Fashion drawing in Vogue". And before I come back to my digital drawings, I would like to share some of those images with you.

With the development of technology, there are less and less time for hand drawing. Sadly, now illustration has little space in magazines and has been gradually replaced by photos. These days I can't tell one magazine from the others just by looking at its cover. There is always a well-dressed celebrity striking a sexy pose.

Ok, I should stop whining and be back to my Macbook and Adobe Illustrator CS4!

I can't live without them, why I blame others?

Les Pierres Rouges restaurant

Continue with the flow of red tone from the last post, I would like to share with you a gourmet experience in a restaurant called "The Red Stones"

Since our forever favorite traditional cuisine restaurant Le Cadran Solaire in Valbonne village was temporarily closed, we ventured out for a new gourmet experience.

The ambiance was excellent and we were seated at the terrace surrounded by roses in blossom!

Speaking of restaurant without mentioning their cuisine is like eating salad without its dressing.

You have plenty of choices: A la carte with starters, main courses, grillades and desserts or their set menu which are : Menu "Pierres Rouges" 36,5€, Menu Provençale 26,5€, Menu Saveurs 46€

All these above photos are taken from the book "The Selby is in your place" by Todd Selby. It is an inspiring book full of photos. I 'm not a bookworm, pictures speak to me easier than words. (in other words: too lazy to read, prefer the freedom of interpretation of pictures:))

I made a queue in front of this door in Faubourg saint Honoré street. I thought I was sent back to Vietnam before 1986 where things were distributed by coupons and you had to queue up hours in advance to get in. But here, coupons won't work...Ah ha!

Anyway, I finally got inside and picked up this beauty!!!!

The shop window showed a big giraffe in heels, interior decoration is inspired by giraffe as well. As much fun as the decoration is, the service is the other way round.

But I must say that the shoes are special and beauuuutifuuuul. I started out with a classic pair which I can make good use if it before move on to the next!

Good evening gorgeous people out there!

Summer might not be the best time for black and leopard print, but I have waited for so long until I had enough courage to pull off this chiffon sheer blouse that I made 3 years ago with a "snow leopard" print shorts. As you may know, a working mom just can't afford that luxury of time for intensive sport and diet (if you want to breast-feed your baby) to get back in shape in 1 month like those Hollywoooood stars or Victoria's Secret's models.

Give nature some time and all falls in its place!

Good morning beautiful world!

Today I go for ivory and black combination.

The tiny polka dots on the flats are actually blue but I can't resist wearing them with this outfit. They're just too cute and because I have got them in a sales last weekend ^_^

Since I live in hot weather throughout the year, I enjoy very much summer sales in Europe where I can find stuff that you are not interested in anymore (for the moment) and just perfect for me!

I also wear Shiseido blush and Chanel lipstick in nude tone to have some kind of healthy look but don't expect me to share much make-up technique not because I am so selfish and want keep it for myself, I just can't see well without my glasses, so I would say minimum make up is the best make up for me :))

Here in Bangkok, it rains and floods. That is our summer! Sun and Rain!

So I have prepared for this weather :

A good pair of goggles and 1 piece swimming suit

Some flowers in my house which I enjoy wrapping in beautiful paper and ribbons

A nice pair of Havaianas flipflops (without back straps, of course:))

A straw hat with holes

And a straw hat without holes because sometimes I don't like to have leopard marks after the sun!

Good morning my friends! Hope you all had a nice weekend. Mine was wonderful because my little son turned 2! So I have been living in awesomeness of motherhood for 2 years. Time does fly!

Some snapshots during my hectic morning to share with you and wish you all a beautiful week ahead!

I made these earrings long time ago and I am so happy to find this blouse to wear with them

Me, this morning! My son kept pulling the earrings when I was holding him, so the earrings ended up in my bag. I put them on again in office :D

Silk skirt is perfect for this boiling weather

These days I often found myself in a situation that I need to walk and my shoes are fabulously uncomfortable. I decided to invest more in kitten heels or anything that are pretty and comfy.

I keep my lipstick and those blue earrings here: A leather pouch with a green eyed owl.

Last but not least, this MonSooner or Later NL I45 nail polish from OPI is terrific!!!

Broken glass dress

I've got this interesting Hussein Chalayan dress quite some time ago thanks to a fashion lover friend. I am so much in love with it that I couldn't give it away because I couldn't get my skinny butt inside and even if I could, its transparency would prevent me from wearing it without a half slip. I can never pull it off like the model below... Argh!

Broken glass picture printed on silver lamé fabric. There are broken plastic pieces stitched to the tube plastic collar. Very dramatic in away.

Racer back of the same fabric without print. Very modern design, how could I not fall in love with it?

So I decided to chop the dress and make a matching sling bag out of it.

First I wanted to chop it horizontally so I could have more fabric for a bigger bag (or something else) but then in order to fit in my skinny behind, I would have to cut too much fabric, the dress would be ungraciously wearable which is absolutely not my goal. I want everything to be nice :)

Here, I cut it asymmetrically, sewed the 4 triangles together, stitched in a leather flap and two little loops.

I used the dress's lining to make lining for the bag. We should not throw anything away. Sometimes stinginess helps creativity :))

I sewed in a zipper to make it a more secured bag and a tiny pocket to slide in my mobile.

Don't you think my strap is gorgeous? I do! It's a dog chain, perfect length and size, plus a super mini price tag.

First I wanted to use a strap from another lovely clutch but it didn't seem right. I prefer the dog chain.

I always prefer a bag that hold its shape, so I used interfacing for fabric and felt lining inside.

Also, to give my bag a butt to sit on, I stitched 2 small seams on each side (see above)

TAH-DAH!

I can't wait to pair my newly altered dress with my patent leather leggings and this sling bag.

Le Beaulieu Restaurant

Good morning everyone, its Monday here! Lets talk about food to commence an appetizing week!
Last Saturday we checked out a French restaurant, called Le Beaulieu at Asoke Residence in Bangkok. We tried their Executive Lunch Menu. The food was good and the service was supposed to be good too if you speak Thai and not asking about what was in your plate. Remember the rules and here we go!

My main course: Fish Marmite. It was delicious! So I asked a waitress what kind of fish was that. She said Salmon!!!!!
I tried asking other 3 waitresses to be confirmed that it really was a salmon that swam in my stomach. In the end, I left the restaurant thinking if salmon has those white texture, I should call myself Marilyn Monroe.

Hand-chopped steak tartar with salad. Since I finished my appetizer without having a photo taken, I replace here by my husband's main course (hope you don't mind:)

He asked for no salad, only french fries. And he got only salad, no french fries. So, I was the one who benefited from this slight misunderstanding!!!

Baked Vanilla Mille feuille with home made vanilla ice cream. Super delicious dessert!!! Seriously!!!

Assorted french cheese platter. It was good but do come for the mille feuille thing above, not for cheese!

Traditional Rum Baba with Chiboust Cream. It was traditional feeling to the core!

And the chef, oh Hervé, le chef!!! Luckily I tasted his food before I met him, otherwise, I would think he is God.

All in all, for the price, its worth a try when you are in Bangkok!

Staying young and attractive is one of human being's biggest dreams. Some people reach for the help of medication, others ask for help from plastic surgeons. Not long time ago, I met a girl whose breakfast was a handful of collagen pills. Her mother has been feeding her like that since she was 8 to prevent natural aging process. Some crazy mother even gave a breast enhancement voucher to her daughter on her 7th birthday. Those craziness do annoy me but we're living in a free world, I suppose I should not comment further.

However, I do think of fashion as a way to help people staying young, attractive and above all, true to ourselves. With the immense choice of outerwear, underwear and make-up, we definitely have a supreme freedom to express ourselves and at the end of the day, sleep well in the bodies we were born in.

For me, age is a collection of beautiful memories you have with your loved ones. The older you get, the bigger and more valuable your collection is. So why should we be worry about the sign of age? Just live happily and build our precious collections!

On my passage through the jungle of blogs, I met this wonderful lady - Mis Papelicos - who impressed me by her style and passion for life. Above all, she showed me that fashion is not a question of money and let it be ruled by the youth in your heart!

Enjoy your day and stay your youthful self because everyone else is taken!

oh my Prada's!

The Prada shop in Emporium shopping center, Bangkok had been under renovation for quite some time. Finally it was opened again. I felt the obligation to visit one of my favorite brands and I was so delighted to discover that their prices here are just as same as they are in Paris!!!! Yeah! So why have to wait for Paris?

I was really surprised that Prada manages to maintain its price tag here. As for Hermès, you can easily get a business round trip to Paris plus a bag for the price of that bag in Bangkok. And if your beloved bag is bought, you'll have to be on waiting list for at least 6 months. Some other items such as porcelain will never be replaced once bought and they have only one set of each model.

The greenish bag on the right, which is slightly smaller than its original version in beige, is especially resized for Thailand's shop. We asian girls are smaller in size obviously :))

I found that bag elegant as well. However, it doesn't have a secure closing system so I just forget it.

There are 2 zippers at each side of the bag but the main compartment has no zipper. For my personal practical reasons, I prefer to have a secure zipper so everything doesn't fall out as I experienced with my other Louis Vuitton bag.

This is my first Prada bag ever :)

What's inside my new bag? BVL wallet, Lafont sunnies, Ipa Nima coin purse that I use for my compact cosmetics (a Bobbi Brown lipstick, a Bobbi Brown blush and a mirror)

I am happy they moved the logo downwards, it's more discrete and elegant than its previous version with the logo near the zipper.

They added an extension hidden inside the zipper. It is not a new thing but it definitely a plus to this simple bag. It is good because it is useful.

Unlike clothes, bags have to be functional.

Oh, I even got the Prada bear :D

I always order this angel hair pasta with minced beef bologna sauce for my son, today was my first try and

I understood why he finished it every time.

I guess talking about ourselves when nobody is listening is one of the easiest things, so I just do it and share with you :)

I commenced this blog 6 years ago when I first started out as a fashion designer. I thought I should post my work on the internet so they could reach out to the world. And they did. I had a great Italian friend thanks to my blog. I consider it the most beautiful thing I can get in this era of inforamtion and technology.

I left Vietnam for further studies in France on Fashion and Creation. Since after my master degree, I have been working as a lingerie designer for our company whose products are on the European, North American and Asian markets.

I found it easier for me working like this because I am less attached to the products and I am proud of the turnover. Before, I designed and made all the products by myself, I was so much attached to them that I hardly wanted to sell any of them. I made them all in my size and only one piece each style! As the matter of fact, I ended up with an extensive hand -made wardrobe and zéro profit! I lent my clothes for shootings, some stars and models wanted to borrow them for an appearance but I couldn’t sell at all because my clothes were like my babies J

Now I have my beloved son and lots of products manufactured everyday, I am super happy when they sell J

For the past few months, I have been truly inspired by the world of weblogs, therefore I would like to chime in. Because creativity is the most wonderful asset, the more we share, the more we have. Also, I am sure I’ll have more friends and connections with people of the same interest.

I don’t have the ambition of selling or giving away for exchange of anything on my blog (again, its my baby!), therefore I am much flattered by all the first friends who embrace my style (which has been evolved a lot since) and followed my blog.

This morning I asked my husband to take this photo of me in the parking just before going up to our office. He told me if I continuously have photos taken like this, my blog friends will call me a parking girl :)))

My little boy started kindergarten a month ago. That was a big change in our family with different routines and more excitement in daily life.

I have become more careful about my choice of clothes because it should be proper for 10 minutes in a kindergarten every morning and inspiring enough for my whole working day in an office full of lingerie!

This was my outfit when I first came in to enroll my son to school. I played it safe, didn't I?

This outfit reminded me of those late nights that I used to fall asleep on a pile of left-over fabric after cutting and sewing. I am no longer surrounded by left-over but I just can't forget the feeling of fabric...layer after layer...

Nostalgia is not always glamourous but it is a part of life, a part of growing up.

Sartorial Saturday

So, I decided I deserve a suit sur mesure for my super stamina refraining myself not to have one since eternity.

The connotation about suits in the region where I live (Bangkok, Saigon and around) is not as same as in other places where the weather is reasonable or unreasonable cold most of the time.

Because here, we sweat and tan!

Suits here are more of banking business, office or state-own company-like, serious ladies not at all fashionable or chic :))

Anyway, enough of excuses. I had my suit made by a super cool tailor in town and I am more than happy I 'm now suited up in Super 150's Made in England stripe fabric ^^

We're in Asia, so remember, don't rush and be calm ;))

That was my 2nd fitting and everything was perfect so I took home a jacket, a pair of trousers, a skirt and 5 shirts ^_^

I had a real blast this weekend having friends coming over and shopping together ^^

Jatujak market opens at weekends and sells EvErythIng, from copy to original, so you should be prepared!

We are in Thailand, so the first thing is Buddha, all sizes, all shapes

colourful watches, I like the square black with purple strap but of course I didn't buy :))

bargaining is part of the game. I tagged along with this girl because she is the champion!!!!

Clothes are fun to look at but you should know the quality to make your decision. (but don't expect silk when you pay for the price of polyester)

Since there are quite many copied products in this market, to avoid buying something fake, go for local designs.

Thai jewelry has very interesting designs thanks to their rich culture. However, prepare to clean your silver stuff more often because the quality of silver you get in this market and due to the price level, it is not sterling silver.

For jewelry with semi precious stones, you should know a thing or two about stones, otherwise, its hard to decide whether a piece is real or not. Also, most of the time it is all apparently in good condition but after some wear, the stone just come off nicely. Ah!

Our Happy hours started from 9am to 4h30pm ^^

While Thailand has so many desserts to die for, I am still addicted to good european pastry which is not easy to find in South East Asia. Luckily, I live in Bangkok and there's a Lenôtre here!

It is French pastry, so naturally, you can find it in Sofitel Hotel. Otherwise, you can visit very own restaurant on Lang Suan Road, a charming road with many nice restaurants. (click at the title to see their shops and cakes)

This is what I am wearing now: a snake skin printed blouse from Wonder Anatomie (click at the title to see his blog). I saw him at the Bangkok Fashion Fair not so long ago and I was so shy that I didn't come towards and talk to him. I can't believe myself... Haizzz

Anyway, I have visited his shop in Siam Center (3rd floor for Thai designers) a few times and each time grabbed myself something. I can't just visit his shop and go home, his stuff is special.

From the first look, it might not be so easy to wear everyday without being a punk or gothic. However you can always find something interesting if you really want to buy. For example, this blouse below!

In this photo, I tied up the ruffles to make floppy sleeves and a bow at the back (like halter neck). I changed to another pair of Zara's to give the whole look a softer touch.

I was totally mesmerized by all the fabulous hats at the Royal wedding. Incredible!!!

Here in Bangkok, the sun gets really stronger day by day. Maybe he wants to make up for all the cool days he offered before...

Anyway, I had fun sporting my straw hat, lazing away a hot summer day.

Eating Easter

Last weekend was a gourmet hedonistic weekend for me, started from Friday evening till monday evening....It was great! :)
I had a chance to be back at Tables restaurant at the Grand Hyatt Erawan (Bangkok) where I tasted the most beautiful cheese in my previous post. But this time Wwas for Easter special lunch

Egg benedict, egg with spinach and white truffle, salmon, ceasar salad.

They came in small portions but endless so you can help yourself to your heart's content :))

Oysters with onion vinegar sauce or lemon

Mouth cleanser, something like strawberry sorbet, chocolate and caramel but I didn't get the taste because my son mixed everything together

Fried rice with shrimp, bourguignon beef, salmon and lamb. I finished them all to find out my favourite: the bourguignon beef

Here is my favorite cheese plate in the world (until now)

Jung, my son and me. My son took off my necklace to play. He put chocolate on my CK Calvin Klein dress as well. I know I can't have the best of both worlds, being a good mum and donning nice clothes all the time. I enjoy very much every time I have a chance to go out with my son.

Food were cooked and served right in front of us.

It was a spectacular performance in a toddler's eyes!

Then we headed to The Sukhothai Hotel for its fabulous chocolate buffet!

and we got this chicken! Actually we had the egg too but it was eaten up before I could take photo ^^

After a weekend of indulgence, I decided today I should go for something classic to bring myself back to the rhythm of work.

The first thing came to my eye was this Daks outfit. I love its elegance and comfort, no second thought, I put it on right away.

I am wearing my one and only pair of sunnies from Lafont, Bobbi Brown Nectar 11 blush, lipstick (Rich Lip color SPF 12, Sweet Nectar 6) and a shiny no name pair of earrings.

A friend of mine who works in cosmetics once told me that Bobbi Brown is meant for mature ladies.

Oh well, it so suits me today!

Recently I 've quite abused this pair of Zara pumps, they match everything I wear, especially this mat and shiny skirt.

I am not going to lie that I walk all days in heels, its unbearable. My rescuer comes in the shape of these Hermès leather slippers and I abuse them too :)

Yum Saap Thai Restaurant

Do you remember last time I told you about a yummy Thai restaurant near my home? Since then, it has become my regular restaurant every time I see my friend Sea. I must admit that I am quite loyal to good food :))) Here are some of their delicious dishes that I order each time.

Bangkok International Fashion Fair 2011

Right after Songkran festival (New year in Thailand), we're back to take same frenzy rhythm, commencing by the Fashion Fair in Impact Exhibition center.

This year we have a small stand in the Lingerie Pavilion. Though the size of the fair is much more modest than those in Paris, Shanghai and Hong Kong, the atmosphere is much better. It seems textile sector has picked up quite fast after the crisis.

One of my best buy this month is the seastar brooch from Keneth Jay Lane. It looks gorgeous on all my LBD. And, I found a pair of earrings with one seastar, one seahorse by Tiara (Thai crystal jewelry brand)! Bingo!

It was a great pleasure and honor to be invited to the Ospitalita' Italiana Award Ceremony at Swissôtel Park Nai Lert in Bangkok, especially when our beloved Maurizio Menconi was among the award-winning chefs!

Would you agree with me that it is not everyday we can have the best Italian dishes available in one nice place? So I guess you understand why I don't have so many photos of food :))

and of course, I also concentrated on being a devoted fan of Chef Maurizio!

He served a soup that make you forget all the lasagna, pasta around you!

I added Italian bread in my list of best bread.

I don't drink but I guess people didn't queue up for a tasteless wine.

Bangkok experiences chilly weather, at least 10°C below its normal temperature. I had to dig into my wardrobe for some "winter" pieces :))

Every Saturday morning I buy some flowers for our home. Roses are beautiful but they can last only 3 days in hot weather, so this weekend, I brought home yellow daisies again. They are lovely and fresh the whole week.

After half an hour swimming with our son in Bangkok Dolphins swimming club, we were off to La Scala restaurant for our weekly Italian food indulgence! Yeah!

I always save some space for this creation of Chef Mauritzio: Tiramisu with a twist, there are little particles that spark in your mouth and passion fruit sorbet, rhasberry sorbet sprinkles on top. The one in the photo above is a small portion!

Last time I ate the jumbo Tiramisu and couldn't sleep at night because I normally don't take coffee. So this week, I chose Brownie and got a scoop of strawberry sorbet as compliment ^^

I just came back from British Club. It is a nice place for an easy Sunday. There are swimming pool, squash courts, tennis courts, kids' playground, massage, gym, library...And of course, restaurants.

We had lunch there but it seems like an unfulfilled hedonism, so on the way home we stopped at Le Nôtre Bakery in Sofitel Hotel to fetch some decent desserts.

I skimmed through some important fashion magazines just to see that they are all about the same things, same people, same events and lots of advertising...These days you can hardly tell one cover to another if you don't look at the name. There is always a celebrity in expensive clothes and that's it.

Strange to say, those boring facts reminded me of my trip to our factory earlier this month where I saw lots of colours and indulged myself in nature.

I can't remember when was the last time I saw a running cock, most of the time they're cooked. I am so happy I snapped this blurry photo. This cock does run really fast after waking you up at 5h30am everyday!

eating is a real experience here. They're all spicyyyyyy!!!!!!!! It seems that chilly is the main food, not rice. So I just show you what I like and consumable:)

First, the beautiful table with dry flowers and miniatures of traditional Thai deserts; all underneath a piece of glass so you can place your cup on top and look at the flowers at the same time.

Second, a miniature wooden bicycle. Yes, I love miniatures ^^

Third, endless baskets of fried food. I know fried food is not so healthy, but I heart the rattan containers.

Last but not least, the whole truck of crackerssss in rainbow colours. Love love love!!!

Oooops, already 1am here, I'm off to bed now. My baby wakes up early. I just bought finger paint in bold colours for him this morning (well, yesterday morning). I'm so excited to show him how beautiful and magical colours are!

Recently, I am so much inspired by retro prints, especially those big sized geometric patterns that make you feel like you are simply a canvas. But I haven't got any piece like that. Yet!
To my surprise and pleasure, this morning my co-designer made an entrance to our office in a fun top and a denim mini skirt. I love it. I love to see people in nice clothes that reflect their personality. And this girl is fun!

This print is not really rétro but I love the way colours run, the patterns intersect, the shape of the top and the girl who wears it.
