something from the past

Givenchy open toes

vintage necklace and earrings. They're older than me!

I received these beautifiers from my auntie-in-law's mother who is in her 90s now.

different lighting in the parking ^^

well, the shoes are not as comfortable as they look

I love the sleeve opening of the cardigan. There's a hole on each side and they make a pair of gloves!

It doesn't get warmer as I hoped yesterday, so here I am, wearing a knitted Zara dress and YSL cardigan walking out of my home this morning!

Have a nice day!

wear and share

Bangkok experiences chilly weather, at least 10°C below its normal temperature. I had to dig into my wardrobe for some "winter" pieces :))
Here I am in Zara turtle neck top and leather skirt.
MiuMiu suede pumps, LV bag. As you can see, this is my favorite bag so far :)
DIY stone necklace. I prefer stone to metal, except for certain special metal ^^

I hope the sun shine again tomorrow!

weekend pleasure

Every Saturday morning I buy some flowers for our home. Roses are beautiful but they can last only 3 days in hot weather, so this weekend, I brought home yellow daisies again. They are lovely and fresh the whole week.
After half an hour swimming with our son in Bangkok Dolphins swimming club, we were off to La Scala restaurant for our weekly Italian food indulgence! Yeah!

I always save some space for this creation of Chef Mauritzio: Tiramisu with a twist, there are little particles that spark in your mouth and passion fruit sorbet, rhasberry sorbet sprinkles on top. The one in the photo above is a small portion!

Last time I ate the jumbo Tiramisu and couldn't sleep at night because I normally don't take coffee. So this week, I chose Brownie and got a scoop of strawberry sorbet as compliment ^^

I just came back from British Club. It is a nice place for an easy Sunday. There are swimming pool, squash courts, tennis courts, kids' playground, massage, gym, library...And of course, restaurants.
We had lunch there but it seems like an unfulfilled hedonism, so on the way home we stopped at Le Nôtre Bakery in Sofitel Hotel to fetch some decent desserts.
The above photo is Strawberry tart.

and here, Lemon tart

Peach tart

My new favorite: Concerto! I normally take Opera but it turns out that Concerto is better ^^
We also have two Quiche lorraine in the fridge :))

Happy weekend everyone!

forever spring

I skimmed through some important fashion magazines just to see that they are all about the same things, same people, same events and lots of advertising...These days you can hardly tell one cover to another if you don't look at the name. There is always a celebrity in expensive clothes and that's it.
Strange to say, those boring facts reminded me of my trip to our factory earlier this month where I saw lots of colours and indulged myself in nature.

flowers are everywhere...on the ground, up in the sky and surrounds

green is the colour of life! all should be in green!!!!
(I did wait for those mangoes to ripe in beautiful yellow though :))

breakfast: this view, tea with milk and cookies ^^

I can't remember when was the last time I saw a running cock, most of the time they're cooked. I am so happy I snapped this blurry photo. This cock does run really fast after waking you up at 5h30am everyday!

so this is where we work, I love all the colours here

and we have lunch here. Next time I'll try to have a place in the little cottage!

meeting and news corner

the best resort in town!!!

eating is a real experience here. They're all spicyyyyyy!!!!!!!! It seems that chilly is the main food, not rice. So I just show you what I like and consumable:)
First, the beautiful table with dry flowers and miniatures of traditional Thai deserts; all underneath a piece of glass so you can place your cup on top and look at the flowers at the same time.
Second, a miniature wooden bicycle. Yes, I love miniatures ^^
Third, endless baskets of fried food. I know fried food is not so healthy, but I heart the rattan containers.
Last but not least, the whole truck of crackerssss in rainbow colours. Love love love!!!

Oooops, already 1am here, I'm off to bed now. My baby wakes up early. I just bought finger paint in bold colours for him this morning (well, yesterday morning). I'm so excited to show him how beautiful and magical colours are!

Good night my friends!

happy prints

Recently, I am so much inspired by retro prints, especially those big sized geometric patterns that make you feel like you are simply a canvas. But I haven't got any piece like that. Yet!
To my surprise and pleasure, this morning my co-designer made an entrance to our office in a fun top and a denim mini skirt. I love it. I love to see people in nice clothes that reflect their personality. And this girl is fun!
Our express photo session always takes place at the back of our office.

I told you, Sarinna is fun and narak (lovely in Thai)

the sandals are just perfect! no longer the time when you have to wear matching colours from top to toes

This print is not really rétro but I love the way colours run, the patterns intersect, the shape of the top and the girl who wears it.

Wishing you all a beautiful day!

more mustangs

It's 19h00 in Bangkok, there are only me and my hubby left in our office. He's trying to finish his work and me blogging while waiting for him so we can go home together.
So, this is my outfit today. Zara neck to ankle :))

Maybe I work like a horse, thats why I like mustang prints :)))

I am wearing horse print popeline shirt, calf leather bag and white jeans, all by Zara.
So, I'll make up for the simplicity of my daily outfit by telling you my beauty secrets *wink*
On hair: Shiseido Hair wax Design flex
On face: Kiehls sun block, Shiseido blush and Bobbi Brown lipstick

Last but not least, my suede Prada sandals. They gave me the good start for the day!

there is always the first time

It has been 6 years since I started blogging. Just like the title of my blog, fashion seriously came to my life as a surprise and POUM! after 5 years of business school and 2 years of working, I finally decided to restart as a student in fashion design. The change of profession has brought out the girl I have always wanted to be, the job I have always wanted to do. I have never regretted the choice and time as well as effort I have put to change my life.

This is my first collection. I made all the clothes as well as shoes and accessories. All was done in my little studio in HCM city and by the old sewing machine that my mother still use at home now.
However, these gorgeous photos were taken at BH Studio with model Bao Hoa and Tuyet Ngoc, under the direction of Henri and Hilaire Hubert. They were published on Cam Nang Mua Sam for Valentine's Day. It was a great honor to me as a young designer at the time. Good memories!

here the sun shines again

After two days of drastic weather change, Bangkok is back to its normal hot climate. But! Just like in other hot countries, air-conditioning is abused here, so you really need a jacket to work all day in artificial 18°C!

wearing the only blazer I made for myself quite some time ago, Zara blouse, Melhouse skirt and vintage belt

and here, my new wegdes from CHAPS, a popular fashion brand of Thailand

the thing I love the most is the velvet lace lining of my blazer.
Life has changed so much since I have my little baby boy. I started to make toys and home linen. For myself, I just simply go to Zara and grab some easy pieces to mix them with my existing clothes. Sometimes I miss having free time just to do something for myself

wearing ZARA top, Melhouse skirt, CPS wedges, thrift necklaces, LV bag and Lafont sunglasses

Bangkok 18°C

The city that functions at 32°C suddenly turned 18°C last week. Incredible! I took the chance to play with layers. It was just like Spring in europe ^^

posing at the back of my office

having lunch in a super yummy Thai restaurant. They serve all kinds of delicious salads that I love... still dreaming of the lychee and shrimp salad...

shopping for my summer wedge

my beautiful friend - Sea - who was so well-equipped for the change of weather! Normally people from South Thailand have to travel up North around Christmas and New Year to have a chance to sport their best "winter" clothes. Now we can all do it in Bangkok!

Sea's Charles and Keith

My forever-loved Paul Smith. I got this pair in London 2 years ago. I prefer this much more than its new version with a flat bow and binding in the same colorful leather.

the balcony at the back of my office where guys often go to for smoking, taking a cup of coffe, and I, for posing with electric wires :))

wearing Zara oversized shirt, Petit Bâteau slip, vintage leather belt and DIY earrings and necklace.
Last but not least, my permanent Lafont spectacles :)))
