The red sole

Good afternoon shoe lovers!!!

Sorry for being missing-in-action for the last 10 days. It seems like a decade in blogosphere, isn't it?
So, I am vacationing in France with my family, but I can't help sharing my little happiness with you!
You know already what I am talking about :)
in sneakers

I guess he is inspired by the beautiful temples in Thailand :)

He made shoes for my favorite fashion icon! I adore Audrey Hepburn, I can watch her in the film Sabrina thousands times

A corner of his workshop

his home, continuously under renovation!

now we know why it's red down there

All these above photos are taken from the book "The Selby is in your place" by Todd Selby. It is an inspiring book full of photos. I 'm not a bookworm, pictures speak to me easier than words. (in other words: too lazy to read, prefer the freedom of interpretation of pictures:))

I made a queue in front of this door in Faubourg saint Honoré street. I thought I was sent back to Vietnam before 1986 where things were distributed by coupons and you had to queue up hours in advance to get in. But here, coupons won't work...Ah ha!

Anyway, I finally got inside and picked up this beauty!!!!

The shop window showed a big giraffe in heels, interior decoration is inspired by giraffe as well. As much fun as the decoration is, the service is the other way round.

But I must say that the shoes are special and beauuuutifuuuul. I started out with a classic pair which I can make good use if it before move on to the next!

With love from Valbonne village,
Almost sunshine ^_^

Thank you for sharing. What a beautiful pair of shoes. I've never really seen a pair up close- would like to!

Actually, I didn't make a too close-up because the paint on the red sole is not so neat. It was kind of crowded and dark in the shop, so you just want to buy quickly and go. I have a dozen of black shoes and this pair is still the most gorgeous and has very elegant lines.
